Switched to the X-receiver spot, and was consistently MU's best deep threat and most dependable hands from the wideouts ... Caught 48 passes for 829 yards and 6 TDs - all career highs ... The injury prevented him from becoming only the 3rd player in MU history to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season ... Still earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors from league coaches, and was named the team's receiver of the year ... His 829 receiving yards ranked as 7th-best on Mizzou's single-season charts ... 2005: A very exciting receiver who used his rare blend of speed, strength and athleticism to excel at the H-receiver spot as a sophomore ... Ended 4th on the team with a career-high 40 catches for 413 yards and 2 TDs on the year ... Ended the year with a 3-catch, 56-yard outing in MU's bowl victory over South Carolina.
2004: Was one of only two true freshmen to play in 2004, and despite a limited amount of catches (6), showed the potential to be a top-tier receiver for years to come ... Played in all 11 games, and had 6 catches for 174 yards and 1 TD ... His per-catch average was an impressive 29.0 yards, which was far and away the best on the team in 2004 ... Mizzou had 9 passing plays that went for 40 yards or more on the season, and 3 of them went to Franklin ... Made a big impression in camp, and quickly established himself on the depth chart at the X-receiver spot ... Had his redshirt taken off in the season opener, as he had 1 catch for 7 yards against Arkansas State.
High School: As a senior he had 37 passes for 907 yards and 17 touchdowns as Vashon claimed the Class 4A district title ... Earned all-state, all-metro and all-league honors as a senior ... Transferred to Vashon prior to his junior year from Beaumont High School, but was forced to sit out a year due to transfer rules ... As a sophomore at Beaumont, had 367 yards receiving and 9 touchdowns and added 4 interceptions on defense as he was named all-league ... Has sub-4.5 speed and owns a vertical jump of around 40 inches ... A solid basketball player who lettered in that sport at both schools, and was given a nickname of "Helicopter" by his friends for his high-flying aerial antics on the court ...
