If last week’s game started about as well as could have been scripted for the Longhorns, this week’s game started with a nightmare script. In the first half, the 'Horns gave up a punt block for a touchdown, turned the ball over on downs inside their own 15 after a botched fake punt, threw an interception, and had six penalties. The Wyoming Cowboys showed a little more than Thursday, but less than originally planned on Saturday in their second scrimmage of the spring season. The Cowboys ran about 69 plays in Thursday’s scrimmage and had hoped for about 120 plays on Saturday. Instead, they went through 85 plays for one simple reason; they are banged up and a little tired -- by design.
